Thomas, when he was 5 years oldThomas

This is my "Critter". Also, my "Beastly One" and "Animalian Thomas" (pet names).  He started out as "Major Tom", after the Bowie tune "Ashes to Ashes", but he just didn't end up being a Major Tom in temperament.

He's a Domesticated Shorthair, born Aug 1990, "indoor cat". I always call him "aggressively friendly", because of how he seeks human attention.  He also comes when I call his name, though "I know the kitty / Doesn't like to be called".

Thomas LIVES for his regular trips to the bowl of Cosmic Catnip, and is currently being fed Purinia Veterinary Diet DM, on account of having a diagnosis of type II feline diabetes.  He trots up bravely each evening when I come home, to take his shot of 50 microliters of U-40 insulin, which is immediately followed by dinner.  The cat, indeed, is driven by his feed.

Thomas in his later years, age 9(Here is someone who knows how to relax!)
