The BAYERL FAMILY of Birch Creek

Bayerl Family Reunion 2010

The Family of Johann and Anna Maria Bayerl

Descendants of Johann and Anna Maria (Altmann) Bayerl will celebrate at a family reunion in July 2010.  All descendants in the Bayerl, Allgeyer, Jasenovsky, Linsmeier and Kanyuh families are invited.

In 1881 the emmigration of the Johann and Anna Maria family began from their home in Bohemia.  First their oldest son, Jakob, left and obtained a land patent for 80 acres of farm land in the farming community of Birch Creek in the upper peninsula of Michigan.

A year later, 1882, Jakob was joined by his parrents, two brothers (Karl and Joseph) and a sister (Barbara).  Thus began the family's history in Birch Creek.

This website, www.bo-hemia.com, is being used for this Bayerl reunion website in memory of Raymond John Bayerl, the son of Mary and Dick Bayerl, who passed away June 27th, 2007 at age 45. Ray carefully and proudly chose this domain name for his personal website because of our Bohemian ancestry.
Ray was the planner of the 1987 Bayerl Reunion which was held in Henes Park.  With the help of his talented, artistic Aunt Theresa he created this fine pastoral scene on the left which was used on tee shirts and sweat shirts for the occasion.
